Leaders are born or made?
"In time of adversity and change, we really discover who we are and what we're made of" by Howard Schultz. Schultz was born to be a talented leader or he really work hard on himself ? If the leader was not born smartly, how he can success?
Scientists say that, " Great leaders are not born, not made: Their brains are just wired differently"
What about Howard Schultz's thought about this topic?
Schultz: "I believe life is a series of near misses. A lot of what we ascribe to luck is not luck at all. It's seizing the day and accepting responsibility for your future. It's seeing what other people don't see and pursuing that vision.
It means always think yourself possible and work hard on it whenever you meet difficulties and frustration。

ATTENTION! Listen to Howard Schultz
Start everything by set up a goal for yourself, the goals of Schultz is "We're not in the business of filling bellies, we're in the business of filling souls". Schultz's goal is to build a different kind of company with a social conscience and a soul. "
I didn't come here to depress you, but I came here to speak the truth" Howard Schultz owns his personality strongly. He does not hesitate to use his influence to spread his ideas about corporations with a social conscience to the wider world. Because of his activism, he stated as Number 1 on Fortune's Businessperson of the Year list for 2011. Schultz understand about the concept, if you want your business to go all around the world, get worldwide customers, you need to involve yourself and your products in the community. Example: Schultz is a good communicator tolerate with each other therefore you can reach a balance and fulfill his needs.
As a conclusion, being a successful leader, you need to have your own visions and concepts, ability to look at all those potential that the others unable to.
In my opinion, I think Howard Schultz is an autocratic style leader the same time is also a democratic leader. He emphasize the keyword, diversity connect with his employees and customers, listens to their opinions and make improvement on it. Besides that, he has his own characters and personality, confident to himself and make decision sometimes. I admire Howard Schultz because of he is a 'multitasking machine' able to have most of the leader characters and works well in operating the entire Starbucks company.
